Last June, Netflix reached out to us for an ambitious project in LA. They wanted us to paint a 14 story mural in their stairwell. Netflix, being a creative studio, wanted something bold, yet elegant. The mural would begin at the ground floor and evolve over the the next 6 floors with abstract shapes in shades of red and gray before revealing the iconic Netlix “N” Logo. The mural continued up the next 7 flights, slightly tapering off as one ascends, giving the impression of climbing a beanstalk. The design was reminiscent of Japanese mecha-anime meets modern 3 dimensional graffiti.

Two months and many flights of stair later, the mural began to take shape. Up close, the design resembled dueling dragons of sorts. A fitting design for a such a powerful company with deep cultural influence.

By delivery, we had painted 280 steps worth of their design. Netflix HQ is located on sunset Blvd in sunny Los Angeles, California. If you ever have the privilege of being invited for a tour, be sure to skip the elevator for a chance to see our longest and tallest mural!
